Cancellation and Refund Policy

RCELL International Conference 2027 • Effective from the date registration opens • Last reviewed: October 2026

Important: Do not pay registration fees before receiving an official acceptance email from RCELL and before reading this policy in full. Payment made prior to abstract acceptance, or without following the official registration workflow, falls outside this policy and cannot be refunded.

1. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to registration fees paid for the RCELL International Conference 2027 (Posthumanism, Digital Humanities, and Ecological Futures: Literature in the Age of AI), scheduled for 13–14 February 2027, delivered online via Zoom Pro and organised by RCELL, Research Centre for English Language and Literature.

This policy covers fees paid by paper presenters and listener or delegate registrants. It does not cover abstract submission, which is free of charge and carries no cancellation obligations.

2. Circumstances Under Which Refunds Are Available

2.1 Cancellation by the Registrant

Refund entitlements are determined by the date on which written cancellation is received at conference@rcell.co.in:

2.2 Transfer of Registration

Registrations may not be transferred to another person or to a future conference edition. If you are unable to attend, please follow the cancellation process above.

2.3 Cancellation or Postponement by RCELL

In the event that RCELL cancels the conference in its entirety, all registration fees paid will be refunded in full, net of payment processing charges that cannot be recovered. If the conference is postponed rather than cancelled, registrants will be offered a choice between retaining their registration for the new date or receiving a full refund.

2.4 Technical Difficulties on the Day

If a confirmed presenter experiences technical difficulties that prevent them from presenting despite best efforts and timely communication with RCELL, their case will be reviewed individually. RCELL does not guarantee refunds in such circumstances but will endeavour to find a fair resolution.

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a cancellation and refund, write to conference@rcell.co.in with the subject line "Cancellation Request: [Your Full Name]". Include your full name, the email address used during registration, and your reason for cancellation.

Refund requests will be acknowledged within five working days. Approved refunds will be processed within 10 to 14 working days of approval, returned to the original payment method where possible.

4. Payment Processing Charges

Razorpay and any other payment gateway charges incurred at the time of payment are not recoverable from the payment processor and will be deducted from any refund amount. RCELL does not profit from these charges.

5. International Payments

Refunds on international payments will be made in the currency and via the method of original payment where the payment gateway permits. Currency exchange differences arising between the time of payment and the time of refund are not the responsibility of RCELL.

6. Non-Attendance Without Cancellation

Registrants who do not attend the conference and have not submitted a cancellation request will not be eligible for a refund. E-certificates will not be issued to registrants who do not attend.

7. Abstract Submission

Abstract submission is free of charge. There is no fee associated with submitting an abstract, and no refund or payment is relevant to the submission process. If your abstract is not accepted, no payment will have been made and no refund is applicable.
